The Breakwater Hotel is among South Beach’s cluster of small hotels that were designed in the 1930s in a tropical Art Deco style, with plenty of smooth curves and lots of white. After being closed for a number of years, the Breakwater reopened in 1995 with a refurbished interior. Cafes, night clubs, and shops are no more than a 5-minute stroll, and the beach is 1 block away. Valet parking is available for a fee, and a municipal garage is located 1 block from the hotel.
