    DINING
The Dining Room - A pineapple motif, the international sign for hospitality, reigns at this onsite restaurant with a Mediterranean/seafood menu and indoor/outdoor seating. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and provides room service during limited hours. On Sundays, a Blues Brunch with live music is available in the adjoining Great Room, a library-like space usually reserved for drinks and lounging.

The Veranda Bar - Luxurious wing chairs upholstered in velvet and leather and a large wooden bar with underlit blue top make for an inviting setting for drinks and appetizers at this lounge just off the lobby. Guests can also have their drinks outside on the ceiling fan-cooled veranda.

    AMENITIES & SERVICES
What to expect: This oceanside resort popular with vacationing families and business travelers blends the relaxed sophistication of the Caribbean with the modern efficiency of a conference hotel. The lobby is decorated in the dark-wood furniture typical of a West Indies plantation, but the architecture is all Art Deco. Terracotta tile floors and cane chairs blend seamlessly with streamlined lighting fixtures, all leading to a reception area decorated with fresh orchids and bamboo. As a welcome to the sub-tropics, guests are treated to complimentary mango juice, available by reception.

Amenity highlights: Personal thatched-roof huts, hammocks, a poolside bar, and tropical birds set the scene at the outdoor pool. The hotel’s “pool-cierge” service provides poolside drinks and fresh towels, and allows guests to make restaurant reservations, book transportation and theater tickets, and more, without leaving their lounge chair.

Insider tip: The hotel’s beach features the only cove inlet along Miami Beach. Inside the small rock jetty the water is calmer and shallower than usual, allowing bathers to walk further into the ocean, and parents to relax as their children play by the shore.

While vacationers and families enjoy the large outdoor pool, beach huts, and hammocks, business travelers can use the 24-hour business center, which features computers, a laptop station, printers, copiers, and high-speed Internet access. The fitness center provides free weights and the latest exercise machines. At the end of the day, turndown service includes a quick fact about palm trees (in coordination with Fairchild Tropical Garden) and a gourmet chocolate.

    Valet parking:
    $5-15 per day. In/out privileges. Underground/covered/secured lot.
Note: Fee may not include tax and is subject to change without prior notification.
